New India Assurance Company Recruitment 2024 : The New India Assurance Company Limited invites applications to recruit 300 Assistants from the open market. NIACL Vacancy- Detailed Eligibility

Educational Qualification(as on 01 January 2024):

Assistant:

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
• The candidate should have passed in English as one of the subjects at SSC / HSC / Intermediate / Graduation level. Candidate should possess certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination as on 01/01/2024.
• Knowledge of Reading, Writing and Speaking of Regional Language of the State / UT against the vacancies for which a candidate wishes to apply, is essential.

Note:

• To ascertain the candidate‘s familiarity with the Regional Language of the State /UT, a language test will be conducted before final selection.
• Candidates not found to be proficient in the Regional Language Test would be disqualified.

Probation Period: The newly appointed employees will be on probation for a minimum period of 6 months. Before the probation period comes to an end the performance of the newly recruited employees will be evaluated and the probation period of those employees whose performance fails to meet Company’s expectation, may be extended.

Age Limit (As on 01 January 2024):

• Minimum Age – 21 years; Maximum Age – 30 years (i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/01/1994 and not later than 01/01/2003)

Age Relaxation of NIACL Vacancy:

• Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe – 5 years
• Other Backward Classes (eligible for reservation) – 3 years
• Persons With Disability – 10 years
• Ex-Servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen – Actual period of service rendered in the defense forces + 3 years subject to maximum of 45 years.
• Widows, Divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried – 5 years
• Persons ordinarlly domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir – 5 years
• Existing Employees of The New India Assurance Co.Ltd. – 5 years

Salary:  Approximately Rs.37,000/- p.m, in initial stage in a Metro city.

Selection Process of NIACL Vacancy:

• The selection process will consist of online tests (Preliminary & Main Examination).
•  Candidates qualifying in the Main Examination will be further shortlisted for Regional Language Test before the final selection.

Tier I: Preliminary Examination:: 

• The questions in objective tests, except for the test of English Language, will be made available in English & Hindi.
• Candidates will have to qualify in each test by securing passing marks to be decided by the Company.
• An adequate number of candidates, state-wise and category-wise, as decided by the Company, will be shortlisted for the Tier II-Main Examination.

Tier II : Main Examination::

• Main Examination will consist of Online Objective Test for 250 marks to be conducted in duration of 120 minutes.
• The questions in objective tests, except for the test of English Language, will be made available in English & Hindi
• Each candidate wil be required to obtain a minimum total score (as decided by the Company) in the main examination
• Candidates qualifying in the Online Main Examination will be shortlisted and called for Regional Language Test, before final selection.
• No separate marks will be awarded for Regional Language Test. This test will be only qualifying in nature.

Regional Language Test:

• Candidates shortlisted in the online Main Examination will subsequently be called for Regional Language Test to be conducted by the Company, at select centres.
• The name and address of the Centre, time & date of this test will be informed to the shortlisted candidates on our website

Final Merit:

• Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the online Main examination subject of qualifying the Regional Language Test.
• Merely satisfying the eligibilty norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for online examinations & Region Language Test
• In case of equal marks scored by the last two or more candidates in the merit it, the candidate senior most in age will be shortlisted for further process of recruitment.

Note:

• Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main examination)
• There wil be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Online Objective Tests.
• For each question for which the candidate has given a wrong answer, one fourth of the marks assigned to that question wil be deducted as penal to arrive at corrected score, No marks wil be deducted for un-attempted questions.
• The Company reserves the right to modify the structure of th examination which wil be intimated through ts Website
