Indian Army Recruitment 2023 : The Indian Army has released a notification for various positions including Stenographer, Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Civilian Motor Driver, and B.Sc Nursing at AFMS.
A total of 225 vacancies are open for these positions.

Stenographer Grade-II:
- 12th Class pass or equivalent from the recognized University/Board
- Skill Test Norms
- Dictation : 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute
- Transcription: 50 minutes (English) or 65 minutes (Hindi) (On Computer)

Selection Process:
- The selection process includes a Skill Test/Written Test/Interview.
- The screening of applications will be carried out on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the exam for essential qualification for that the post and a ratio of 1:50 for the post will be maintained.
- Skill Test:
- Skill tests will be conducted under the aegis of Headquarters 111 Sub Area, Bengdubi (West Bengal)
- Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute.
- Transcription: 50 minutes (Eng) or 65 minutes (Hindi) (On Computer)
- Written Test:
- The written examination will be conducted on OMR Sheet. All candidates should acquaint themselves with this process.
- The written test will be held at Headquarters 111 Sub Area, Bengdubi Military Station (West Bengal) and the question papers of written test (objective type) will be bilingual i.e English and Hindi as under
- General Intelligence and Reasoning – 50 ques- 50 marks
- General Awareness – 50 ques- 50 marks
- English Language & Comprehension- 100 ques- 100 marks
- Duration – 2 Hours
- Skill / Practical tests and written examination will be conducted on date which will be intimated to candidate meeting the criteria for recruitment after scrutiny of the application, through a call letter.

Selection Process:
The selection process includes the following process.
Shortlisting of candidates:
- The shortlisting of candidates will be done through NEET (UG) 2023 scores.
- The reference numbers of the candidates who are shortlisted for the screening process will be displayed on the website.
- The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for TOGIGE, Psychological Assessment, Interview and Medical examination at Base Hospital Delhi Cantt.
- The admit card for the same can be downloaded from the above website.
Verification of Documents: All shortlisted candidates will be required to produce originals of all documents listed in the admit card at the time of screening process at BHDC.
Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGIGE):
- Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGIGE) will be in the form of a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of 40 MCQs of two marks each for a maximum mark of 80.
- There will be negative marks of 0.5 for every incorrect answer.
- These 40 questions will be required to be answered in 30 mins.
Psychological Assessment and Interview:
- All shortlisted candidates will undergo psychological assessment and interview by a Board of Officers at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt.
- The candidates may be asked questions on the core subjects up to Std XII, General Knowledge, Current affairs and their interests, hobbies etc.
- Due weightage will be given to candidates during interviews for achievements in Sports at various levels and for the dependents of Officers/JCOs/ORs who are Serving/ESM/Killed in action.
Medical Examination:
- All candidates have to be medically fit keeping in view, the specific training requirements, charter of duties and level of fitness desired for candidates to join MNS.
- All shortlisted candidates will undergo Special Medical Board (SMB) at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt.
Final Selection:
- The final selection of a candidate will be based on the combined merit of NEET (UG) 2023 scores + ToGIGE + Psychological Assessment and Interview, subject to medical fitness.
- A merit List will be prepared and colleges will be allocated to the selected candidates based on the merit cum choice, subject to seats available at each college.
- The list of selected candidates will be published on the JIA website.
- The candidates are required to check the website regularly for updates.
Admission to the Colleges: The selected candidates shall execute an Agreement/Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service (MNS), Armed Forces Medical Services at the time of admission.
Application Fees:
- All candidates (except SC/ST) will have to pay a sum of Rs 200/– only as an application processing fee through the online payment gateway.
- SC/ST candidates have to upload the documentary proof.
