WII Recruitment 2022 – Wildlife Institute of India invites online application for the post of Project Associate-II/Project Associate-I/Project Assistant/Database operator/Graphic Designer. There are a total of 43 vacancies are to be filled for this recruitment . Candidates with the educational qualification of Ph.D/Master Degree/Bachelor Degree in relevant disciplines are eligible to apply for this job. The selection process is based on the performance in the interview . Interested candidates can apply online on or before 20 July 2022. About WII : The Wildlife Institute of India (WII), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate change, Government of India, was established in 1982.The institute is based in Dehradun, India. It is located in Chandrabani, which is close to the southern forests of Dehradun. WII carries out wildlife research in areas of study like Biodiversity, Endangered Species, Wildlife Policy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Forensics, Spatial Modeling, Ecodevelopment, Ecotoxicology, Habitat Ecology and Climate Change.

Educational Qualification:
Project Associate-I:
- Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Senior Project Associate :
- Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/ Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University. Candidates with a Masters’ Degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Microbiology/ Genetics/ Molecular Biology/ Veterinary Sciences need not apply for this post. AND Relevant research experience after Masters’ degree is required. Publications in peer-reviewed journals in relevant field. OR Doctoral Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/Forestry/ Life Science/ Agriculture/Environmental Sciences from a recognized University OR
- Masters’ Degree in Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geography or related fields with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University, with relevant work experience after obtaining the degree.
Project Scientist-II :
- Doctoral Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized University. AND Minimum three (03) years relevant experience post PhD.
Project Associate-II :
- Masters’ Degree in Geoinformatics/ Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geography or related fields with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University, with relevant work experience after obtaining the degree. AND Minimum two (02) years of research experience after Masters’ degree is required. OR Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University AND Minimum two (02) years of research experience after Masters’ degree is required.
Project Scientist-I :
- Doctoral Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Life Science/Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences from a recognized University.
Upper Age Limit :

- Shortlisting of application for online interview of applications will be based on essential qualification, age limit, NET/ GATE qualification, percentage of marks in Bachelors and Masters, specialization relevance in Masters, research experience (Publications, Paper Presented in Workshops/ Seminars/ Symposiums/ Conferences), SOP and extracurricular activities (as per WII rules).

Project Associate-II:
- Master’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science / Zoology / Botany/ Forestry / Environmental Science /Biodiversity & Conservation or related subjects with ≥4 years experience in the relevant field after Master’s degree.
Project Associate-I:
- Master’s degree with minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Wildlife Science / Botany/ Forestry/ Biodiversity & Conservation or related subjects with ≥1 year experience in relevant field.
Project Assistant (PA):
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 55% marks in Botany / Zoology / Chemistry / Life Sciences/ Wildlife Science / Forestry / Environmental Science/ Biodiversity & Conservation or the related subjects.
Database Operator:

WII Recruitment 2022 Selection Process:
- The selection to all the posts will be based on personal interview, which will be conducted by a duly constituted Interview Committee. All the applications received, will be screened and only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. The date of the interview will be communicated to the candidates for making travel arrangements to report at WII or through Video Conferencing. The selection of the candidate will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee. The prescribed essential qualifications and desirable qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
