FACT Recruitment 2023 notification announced for Managerial/Non-Managerial Posts in various disciplines. There are 74 vacancies available for the posts. Candidates with the qualification of B.E/B.Tech/MBA/Diploma/PG Diploma/B.Sc/CA/ICWA/ITI/10th pass are eligible to apply for the job. About FACT – The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited is a chemical and fertilizer manufacturing company. Its headquarter is located in Kochi, Kerala, India. FACT has two production units they are Udyogamandal, and Cochin Division (CD)at Ambalamedu and Udyogamandal Complex (UC) at Eloor. The main production of this company is Sulphuric Acid, Ammonia, Ammonium Sulphate, Gypsum, Caprolactam, Soda Ash, Nitric acid, and colored Ammonium Sulphate.

Managerial Posts:

Senior Manager (Civil): Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of executive experience in the construction/maintenance department in a large Fertilizer / Chemical / Petrochemical Plant or large Engineering / Civil Construction firm.

Senior Manager (Human Resources & Administration):

  • Two years Post Graduate Degree in HR or Personnel Management or Industrial Relations or Labour Welfare or Social Work (specialization in Personnel/HR Management) or Business Administration (specialization in Personnel/HR Management). OR
  • 02 years Post Graduate Diploma in HR or Personnel Management or Industrial Relations or Labour Welfare or Social Work (specialization in Personnel/HR Management) or Business Administration (specialization in Personnel/HR Management) with minimum 9 years of executive experience.

Officer (Sales): B. Sc. Degree in Agriculture with 60% marks.

Management Trainee (Chemical): Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (in Chemical Engineering or Petrochemical Engineering or Chemical Technology or Petrochemical Technology), with 60% marks.

Management Trainee (Electrical): Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics or Electrical & Instrumentation), with 60% marks.

Management Trainee (Instrumentation): Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (in Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control or Electronics & Instrumentation or Electrical & Instrumentation), with 60% marks.

Management Trainee (Marketing):

  • Two years Post Graduate Degree in Management (with specialization or elective in Marketing Management / Agri Business Management) with 60% marks. OR
  • Two years Post Graduate Diploma in Management (with specialization or elective in Marketing Management / Agri Business Management) with 60% marks.

Management Trainee (Finance):

  • Pass the final examination in Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or
  • Cost and Management Accountant (CMA)/ (ICWAI) from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India.

Non-Managerial Posts:

Technician (Process):

  • B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry OR
  • Diploma in Engineering [Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology (including Petrochemical Technology)] and 2 years experience in the operation of a large Fertilizer/ Chemical/Petrochemical plant.

Sanitary Inspector: Std X pass with a Diploma in Sanitary Inspector Course from a recognized institution and 5 years of experience in sanitary administration of industrial establishments/hospitals / Government bodies.

Craftsman (Fitter Cum Mechanic): Std X pass with National Trade Certificate in the trade of Fitter/Mechanic with 2 years experience in the trade in a large Fertilizer / Chemical / Petrochemical Plants or large establishments in the Engineering Industry.

Craftsman (Electrical): Std X pass with National Trade Certificate in the trade of Electrician with a Wireman license and 2 years experience as an Electrician in a large Fertiliser / Chemical /Petrochemical Plants / Electrical Power Generation Plants/ Electrical Power Distribution Companies or large establishments in Engineering Industry.

Craftsman (Instrumentation): Std X pass with National Trade Certificate in the trade of Instrumentation with 2 years experience as Craftsman Instrumentation in a large Fertiliser / Chemical /Petrochemical Plants or large establishments in the Engineering Industry.

Rigger Assistant:

  • Std X pass with 5 years experience in Materials handling, Rigging jobs, and other works related to plant/equipment/maintenance in large Fertiliser / Chemical/Petrochemical Plants or large establishments in Engineering Industry.
  • Should possess good physique and physical stamina.

Age Limit

  • Senior Managers: 45 years
  • Officer (Sales) /Management Trainees: 26 – 31 years
  • Technicians / Sanitary Inspector / Craftsmen/ Rigger Assistant: 35 – 40 years.
  • For all posts, the maximum age after all relaxations shall be 53 years.

  • Senior Managers: Rs 70,000 – 2,00,000/-
  • Officer (Sales): Rs 30,000 – 1,20,000/-
  • Management Trainees: Rs 50,000 – 1,60,000/-
  • Technicians: Rs 23,350 – 1,15,500/-

Selection Process

  • The selection process includes CBT/Interview/Skill Test/Practical Test.
  • Hall Ticket will be generated online and eligible candidates shall download their Hall Ticket from our website during the period that will be notified on our website.

Computer-Based Test (CBT):

  • Questions of the CBT will be objective type, multiple-choice, and prepared in English and Hindi.
  • FACT reserves the right to fix minimum marks for passing in the CBT (subject to a minimum of 40% marks, and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) for the purpose of shortlisting candidates for the next stage in the selection process.

Managerial Posts:

  • Test Duration: 120 minutes
  • Part 1: 60 questions on Management Aptitude (40), General English (10), and General Knowledge (10)/1 mark for every right answer & 0.33 negative marks for every wrong answer.
  • Part 2: 60 questions on Technical Aptitude/ Subject knowledge in the respective discipline/1.5 marks for every right answer and 0.50 negative marks for every wrong answer.

Non-Managerial Posts:

  • Test Duration: 90 minutes
  • Part 1: 30 questions on Aptitude & Reasoning/1 mark for every right answer & 0.33 negative marks for every wrong answer.
  • Part 2: 60 questions on Subject knowledge in the respective discipline/1.5 marks for every right answer and 0.50 negative marks for every wrong answer.

Interview: For posts to which a Personal interview is part of the selected candidates are required to qualify separately in the Interview with a minimum of 50% marks, and 40% for posts reserved for SC/ST & PwBD candidates.

Medical/Physical Fitness:

  • Candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination and those certified fit by the Company’s Medical Officer will only be offered an appointment.
  • Candidates should have sound health and should meet the medical /physical standards as prescribed by the PEME procedure of FACT.

Application Fees:

  • Rs. 1180/- including GST (excluding bank charges) for Managerial posts.
  • Rs.590/- including GST (excluding bank charges) for Non-managerial posts.
  • SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/Internal candidates are exempted from the application fee, subject to furnishing documents in proof of eligibility for exemption along with the application.
