Spices Board Recruitment 2022 – Spices Board under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India has announced job notification for the Selection of Spices Research Trainees to be filled for 20 vacancies. Candidates with the qualification of M.Sc are eligible to apply for this job. Interested candidates can attend the Walk-In Test on 07 December 2022. The detailed eligibility and selection process are given below;
Spices Board Of India : It is the Indian government regularity and it was constituted on 26 February 1987. Its headquarters is in Kochi and Subash Vasu is the current chairman of the spices board. It is one of the five commodity board functioning under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It has the responsibility of the production/development of cardamom and export promotion of 52 spices. It started the online campaign called the spice train to educate the Indians about the country’s rich spice heritage.

Educational Qualification:
Crop Improvement:
- M.Sc. Botany/ Biotechnology.
- Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field.
Biotechnology:
- M.Sc. Biotechnology(Plant/ General).
- Desirable: Working knowledge in Molecular Biology Laboratory Techniques & Basics in Bio informatics as evidenced by documents.
Agronomy & Soil Science:
- M.Sc. Chemistry.
- Desirable: One year work experience in handling GC/HPLC/Soil Analytical works.
Plant Pathology:
- M.Sc. in Agriculture (Plant Pathology)/ M.Sc. Microbiology/ M.Sc. Botany.
- Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field.
Entomology:
- M.Sc. Agri.(Entomology/ Nematology) / M.Sc. Zoology.
- Desirable: Working knowledge in computer.
Tenure of Training: 2 years
Age limit(as on 07.12.2022): not more than 30 years

Spices Board Recruitment Selection Process:
Screening is based on qualification followed by a written test. The Board reserves the right to shortlist applications for the second level test if required.
How to apply for Spices Board Recruitment 2022?
All Interested and eligible candidates can attend the Walk-In Test with the necessary documents at the following venue on 07.12.2022 at 10.00 AM.
Candidates appearing for the screening test should bring along all the necessary documents given below:
- Passport size photograph
- Original certificates for
a) Identity proof (Voter card, Aadhar card etc.)
b) Proof of Age
c) Caste Certificate
d) Proof of education and training
e) Publications, if any. - One set of self-attested photocopies of the above.
Note:
- Those who have not yet received their final degree certificate need not appear in the test.
- Those who have undergone training as SET/ SRT at Spices Board earlier need not apply.
