Candidates with Post Graduate in Commerce(M.Com)/ICAI/CA are eligible for this post.

Detailed Eligibility

Educational Qualification

Accountant:

• Post Graduation in Commerce from a recognized University with Seven years experience in Finance/Accounting in a Government or Semi-Government Establishment / Public or Private Sector Undertaking Or
• Graduate with a Pass in intermediate examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India/Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with Five years experience in Finance /Accounting in a Government or Semi-Government Establishment / Public or Private Sector Undertaking
• Of the above experience, two years of experience should be in a Supervisory Grade.

Desirable:

• Experience of working in a computerized environment.
• Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi.

Upper Age Limit (As on 15 November 2023): 45 years

Age relaxation: Age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen shall be as per Government of India guidelines.

Salary: Rs. 28,000 – 1,10,000/-

Selection Process for Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2023

• The method of selection shall include
  • Phase I – Written test (Objective Type Test – 40 Marks & Descriptive Type Test – 40 Marks)
  • Phase II – PowerPoint presentation on work experience (20 Marks)
• The Phase I – Objective type test shall be of 45 minutes duration and consists of two parts
  • General (Part A) and Discipline related (Part B)
• Part A comprises
• • General Knowledge (5 Questions)
  • General English (5 Questions)
  • Reasoning (5 Questions)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (5 Questions)
  • Discipline Related (20 Questions)
• Each question carries one mark. There shall be no negative marks
• The Descriptive type test shall be of 40 marks, 90 minutes duration comprising of discipline related questions.
• The mark list shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the Phase –I – Objective type test
• The minimum pass mark each for Objective as well as Descriptive tests is  50 % of Total Marks of each test – For unreserved post &  40 % of Total Marks of each test – For PwBD Candidates
• Candidates who score minimum pass marks and above shall be short listed for certificate verification
• Only those candidates who successfully complete the certificate verification shall be shortlisted to attend the Phase-II.
• Phase II (Power Point Presentation) shall be of duration not more than ten minutes highlighting the work experience of candidates
• Rank list of candidates who qualified in all the phases shall be prepared based on the total marks secured by the candidates in Phase I & Phase II.

• Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Person with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from payment of application fee.

Exam Center: Depending upon the number of online applications, the objective type test shall be held at any place in Andaman, Port Blair as decided by CSL. The allocation of examination centre shall be at the sole discretion of CSL.
