Educational Qualification :
Private Secretary/Technical Assistant to Chairman :
- Degree in Marine Engineering/Nautical Science.
- Candidates should have minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Maritime Sector.
Management Trainee :
- ACS Final/Inter.
- Candidates should have minimum 2 years of experience preparation of Board Notices, Minutes of Meetings and Other Board Secretariat Works.
Training Co-ordinator :
- Degree in Marine Engineering or Nautical Science.
- Candidates should have minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Maritime/Training & Development Sector.
Resident Engineer – Customs EDI Operation :
- Diploma in Network Engineering.
- Candidates should have minimum 1 year experience in recognised Customs EDI Center or 2 years of experience in Networking in a reputed firm.
Surveyor :
- A Marine or Mechanical or Electrical Engineer or Naval Architect in possession of minimum first or second class Motor/Steam Ministry of Transport (MOT) Certificate. OR
- Master Mariner (Foreign Going) with 2 years of sailing experience or experience in maritime training or marine survey after having obtained master’s certificate. OR
- Marine Engineer Operator Class III [Near Coastal Voyage Vessel (NCV) – Chief Engineer Officer] Certificate or Master (Near Coastal Voyage Vessel) certificate. OR
- Inland Vessel Master Class I or Inland Engineer Certificate with a minimum of 15 years of service on board inland vessels of which at least 5 year shall be in the capacity of Master or Chief Engineer. OR
- A basic Degree in Naval Architecture with 7 years’ experience in sea going regular vessels or Classification Societies or Ship Building yards or reputed International Shipping Corporation or State Port Department. OR
- Diploma in ship building with 15 years’ experience in sea going regular vessels or Classification Societies or Ship Building yards or reputed International Shipping Corporations or State Port Department.
Senior Civil Engineer : Graduation in Civil Engineering with minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Port / Harbour Engineering/Similar Works.
Civil Engineer : Graduation in Civil Engineering with minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Port/Harbour Engineering / Similar Works.
Electrical Engineer : Graduation in Electrical Engineering with minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Port/ Harbour Engineering / Warehouse related Works.
Law Officer :
- LLB with 5 years of BAR/Legal Advisory Experience.
- Candidates should have proficiency in rendering advice to the Board on all legal matters namely Board’s Cases ,Contracts, Rules & Regulations etc.
- Candidates should also possess adequate skills to conduct enquiries as per the directions from Chairman and CEO.
IT Engineer (Hardware) : B Tech/Diploma in Computer Science Engineering with minimum 3 years of experience in Hardware and Networking.
IT Engineer (Software) : B Tech/Diploma in Computer Science Engineering with minimum 3 years of experience in Software Support/Development.
Multi-Tasking Staff :
- Degree in any Discipline with excellent proficiency in Computer Operation.
- Should have proficiency in Office Administrative Assistance in Govt./Clerical Nature of Jobs/LMV Driving.

Selection Process of Kerala Maritime Board Recruitment 2023 :
- The selection process includes Written test / Technical Presentation / Technical Interview / Proficiency Assessment.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email/SMS regarding further procedures.
- Hence, candidates must ensure that working email address and telephone/contact no. are being provided.
- The medium for all written tests will be English.
- KMB/CMD reserves the right to shortlist only a limited number of candidates for written test/technical presentation/technical interview/final interview, as the case may be for the post, based on marks secured in their qualifying examination and/or years of relevant experience.
- Candidates should clearly mention the marks scored in their qualifying examination in the application.
- The onus of proving the conversion from grade/CGPA to percentage of marks would rest with the candidate.
