Detailed Job Description :
The Regional News Unit, Doordarshan Kendra, Thiruvananthapuram invites applications for empanelment as Stringers from individuals / firms with experience in TV News coverages for the districts of Alappuzha, Kottayam, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad and Kasargod in the State of Kerala and for Lakshadweep.
Applicants should mention in the application form, the name of the district where they wish to be empanelled. Applicants must be based in the district where they apply. Applicant for the UT of Lakshadweep may simply mention Lakshadweep in District Column. The key person for the operation of stringership must be clearly mentioned and he/she must be working in the district of Kerala and in the UT of Lakshadweep where they are applying and must continue to be in the same district once selected.
Last date of receipt of Application is 22nd October 2025 till 5pm.
Empanelled Stringers are expected to do news coverages and short features on news, current affairs, sports, business and other subjects. Applicants preferably equipped with four-wheel vehicles, should have qualification, experience and expertise in cinematography / videography /news gathering / broadcast journalism.
Details of other terms and conditions prescribed in Guidelines issued by Directorate General, Doordarshan, New Delhi vide their Memo No. 3/4/2003-P-III dated 02.07.2010 are available in the Annexure to this notification.
Applications duly supported with Demand Draft of Rs. 1,180/- ( inclusive of GST) towards nonrefundable processing fee in favour of the “PB BCI payable at Thiruvananthapuram” should be submitted in sealed cover with superscription.
